FRANCIS EASTSIDE, GREENVILLE, SCDepartment: ES REHAB ADMINISTSRATIONSchedule: Part TimeShift: DayHours: 3 days per weekJob Details:Position Title: Mid-Level Practitioner (NP or PA) Joint CampDepartment: Ortho AdministrationResponsible To: Clinical Coordinator of PAT and Vice President ofOrthopedics & Professional ServicesPOSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for the overall coordination of the pre-operative evaluation process for patients undergoing total joint replacement surgery (hip or knee). Responsible for reviewing patients pre-operative test results and making recommendations on any further testing or specialist involvement needed. In coordination with the clinical supervisor, orthopedic surgeon and anesthesiologist, Practitioner will help determine patients readiness for surgery.
Practitioner will work closely with the internal multidisciplinary team and orthopedic physicians and their office staff.Minimum Required QualificationsEducation:PA Degree or NP Degree from an accredited education programExperience:1. Minimum of three years of relevant mid-level practitioner experience required. Substantial interpersonal skills necessary to instruct patients and their families and to collaborate with health care team members. Must possess knowledge and skills in clinical management of patients with chronic and advanced illnesses, pain and symptom management, advanced care planning and psychosocial counseling2.
Must be able to competently perform required clinical skills.3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Licensure, Registration, or Certification:1. Licensed Physician Assistant and/or Nurse Practitioner in State of South Carolina2. South Carolina State and Federal Controlled Substance licenses3.
