More complete informations about this vacancy opportunity please read the description below. Board Certified Vascular Surgeon Needed in Myrtle Beach, SC. Hospital is seeking a board certified Vascular Surgeon to join their employed multi-specialty surgical practice affiliate in My! rtle Beach, SC. The growing population within Horry County continues to increase the demand for surgical care in the community. Practice call will be no more than 1:4.
Surgeon can rotate through trauma call if desired (1:6 primary call with an equitable share of back-up call). General Surgery ED call requirements will be 1:10. Competitive compensation package consisting of a guaranteed base salary + WRVU incentive, comprehensive benefits package, paid occurrence based malpractice, PTO, CME as well as several other negotiable incentives. For candidate interested in taking Trauma Call, G Medical Center is one of two Level II trauma centers in South Carolina and the only Level II trauma program in SC certified by the American College of Surgeons and DHEC.
Trauma surgeons treated 2,345 patients in 2012, identified as those who suffer life-threatening injuries with potential for secondary complications such as shock, respiratory failure or death. There a! re two dedicated trauma rooms with helipad adjacent to the eme! rgency department. They have five trauma surgeons, a trauma orthopedic surgeon, anesthesiologists, emergency department physicians and onsite laboratory. All critical care and emergency nurses have special training in trauma nursing and advanced cardiac and pediatric life support.
