- Associates Degree Preferred
Provides oversight and supervision to the Anesthesia Techs and Anesthesia Tech Team Leader. Respon! sible for developing policy and procedures for Anesthesia functions. Responsible for recruitment and training of Anesthesia Techs. Develops, administers, and assures Anesthesia Techs are maintaining competency levels. Interfaces with Chairman of Anesthesia and OR manager at each Health Care Facility to administer to the needs and expectations of the department.
Minimum Qualifications:
EDUCATION: High School diploma or GED required. Associates Degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Employed as an Anesthesia Tech or in Healthcare for 5 or more years. Management/leadership experience preferred.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Must have a current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider Card. Anesthesia Technician certification preferred.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: Knowledge of the Anesthesia Techs. Scope of Practice and! responsibilities to and for the Anesthesiologists. Knowledge ! of organizational policies and procedures to administer to the needs of the patient and physician. Skill in identifying problems through quality improvement processes and recommending/implementing solutions. Skill in preparing and maintaining records and writing reports. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, hospital staff and public. Ability to analyze situations and apply critical thinking. Ability to communicate clearly. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
Other: Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks quickly in a fast paced environment.
