Without a Gastroenterologist for a couple of years there is a pent-up demand in our area for a GI and thi! s physician will be busy very quickly. ERCP is required as well as BC/BE. The Endo lab is fully staffed with certified nurses and CRNA's. A mid-level assistant will be available once the outmigration begins to turn and a second GI will follow. Medical staff call requirements are speciality specific, but the minimum requirement is 10 days a month. At this time the call can be 5:1. Thanks to our Hospitalist team and our ISO certified, ED physicians all trained in EM, most calls can be handled over the phone.
Oconee Physicians Practice (OPP), an affiliate of OMC is physician lead. A physician council sets the standards for competitive compensation, quality and accountability. The compensation includes a two year guaranteed base salary with the ability to make more. Additional compensation includes a healthcare plan, choices of retirement plans, malpractice insurance, an annual CME allowance, and a moving allowance. Future compensation is based on Net Income + a hospit! al subsidy.
