Job Description:
**THIS POSITION IS OPEN TO 8 HOUR, 10 HOUR OR 12 HOUR SHIFTS AND/OR COMBO TO MEET THE SCHEDULE.**
Responsible for administ! ration of anesthesia and clinical instruction of student registered nurse anesthetists (SRNA's).
All employees are expected to be knowledgeable and compliant with Palmetto Health’s values of compassion, dignity, excellence, integrity and teamwork.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent), graduation from an accredited school of nursing and accredited school of anesthesia.
Active participation in educational program.
Experience: Graduate of a certified AANA council on anesthesia training program
Number and Type of Employees Supervised: SRNA's enrolled in USC school of medicine/ Nurse
Licensure, Registry or Certification Required: RN and official recognition in SC and current certification with American Association of Nurse Anesthetist (AANA)
Special Training: Must possess skills necessary to treat patients of all ages to include infants, pediatric,! adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
AANA conti! nuing education programs acquiring 40 CEU's every two years.
