- The Surgical Technologist-Team Lead is a member of the surgical team who works closely with the surgeon, anesthesiologist, nurse anesthetist, re gistered nurse in delivery of patient care pre-operatively, intra-operatively and post-operatively. Acts in accordance with the policies, procedures and standards as prescribed by the Governing Board, Hospital Administration and Patient Care Services of Beaufort Memorial Hospital.
- Minimum RequirementsEDUCATION
High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Formal course in OR Technology. Certification in Surgical Technology or worked as a Surgical Technologist prior to 2008. Per South Carolina Surgical Technologist Association, one will be Grandfathered if worked as a Surgical Technologist prior to 2008.EXPERIENCE
1-3 years experience as a Surgical Technologist. Work in a medical office considered.CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
Certification in Surgical Technology or worked as a Surgical Technologist prior to 2008 and maintains 15 continuing education hours per year. BLS required prior to first clinical shift (must be issued by the American Heart Association).
