Patient Services Agent (PSA) – Dental Scheduler


 

, Monday – Friday; 7:00am – 4:00pm. Shifts may vary; potential late nights and flexibility

Position Summary: Under the supervision of the applicable manager, performs overall call center functions relating to dental scheduling, including but not limited to answering phones; greeting patients; patient dental scheduling; patient communication.

Essential Functions/Duties:


    • Answer dental calls, and schedule dental appointments according to dental protocols.
    • Maintain and work the dental call waiting list, including recall list for all sites to ensure any open slots are filled.

  • Monitor and manage the dental schedule and 4-week blocks.
  • When scheduling appointments and providing reminder calls, inform dental patients of clinic policy regarding unattended minor children in the waiting area and clinic policy regarding the presence of persons other than patient and clinic staff in the operatory during dental procedures.
  • Pre-call dental patients to remind them of their appointments and notify patient of payment due at time of appointment.

    • Follow up on “no-show” dental patients daily.
    • Other dental duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Computer skills: typing (minimum 30 WPM), data entry. Testing will be completed to verify minimum level of proficiency.
