Job Purpose:
Accountabilities:
The main accountabilities for this role consist in creating and implementing customer specific business plans to uncover new opportunities, increase sales and profits and secure business growth. Communicating constantly with teams to inform them of daily tracking of sales, and important customer and product information. Preparing forecasts for monthly and quarterly performance by for key accounts, whilst Assigning duties to associate team members to ensure coverage and completion of all relevant tasks.
This role is also responsible for keeping track of each account's credit status to determine accounts needing review or accounts that may run into credit problems and interacts as necessary with Credit department in order to resolve customer credit issues and making sure that all profiles are updated and to anticipate where we can fulfil a need in their respective business plans.
Participates in vendor-sponsored and Corporate-sponsored training/meetings to attain new and existing product, industry and company knowledge in order to provide better service to customers. Establish consistent and frequent competitive intelligence reports from customers to Sales Manager A very important part of this role is team leadership including hiring, coaching, developing and motivating sales team members, maintaining records, performance information and documentation.
Conducting team member performance management including administering including performance Improvement Plans, monthly MBO's, attendance and adherence to TD policies and procedures. Also as a result being responsible for team reward and recognition programs to include nomination and monitoring of division and corporate programs.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
The ideal team leader must have 3-5 years sales experience and experience managing teams in a sales environment. This person should understand how the channel eco system works. Experience hiring and interviews new team members and also strong experience with software and a tech background. This team leader should have an ample understanding of budgets and setting targets. The ability to analyze and resolve complex issues and problems in a sound and timely fashion, while building solid and strong relationships with others. The know how to coach others in the development of their skills and constructively work under stress and pressure when faced with high workloads and deadlines. Possesses strong team leadership skills with a willingness to lead, create new ideas, and be assertive. Be able to negotiate skillfully, promote/sell ideas persuasively, and close transactions with mutually beneficial results. Prepare/analyze appropriate reports and other business correspondence. Lastly exhibit a strong level of vigor, intensity, competitiveness, and endurance. Experience in the Sales or IT industry is a must.
