The CRNA is responsible for the pre-operative assessment, perioperative and post-operative care of surgical patients. He/she assesses, plans, implements and evaluates delivery of patient care which is age appropriate for the neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient with a wide variety of medical/surgical conditions. He/she keeps abreast of techniques, skills, current practices and regulations appropriate to the age of patient served. This person contributes to patient services and the hospital through support of philosophy and objectives, policies and procedures and educational efforts.
Work Schedule PRN Coverage
Department Description McLeod Medical Center Dillon, Dillon, SC: Provides anesthesia for all multi-specialty service lines, sedation services requested outside of the main operating rooms, invasive line placement, and Code II support within the medical center. There are separate groups of CRNAs working in OB and Cardiac specialties.

Skills Required Must be a graduate from an approved school of Nursing & hold a current SC license as a registered nurse; a graduate from an approved Nurse Anesthesia program accredited by the AANA Council on Accreditation; must have successfully completed the certification examination administered by the AANA Council on Certification; must comply with criteria for biennial recertification as defined by the AANA Council of Recertification; hold current SC official recognition as a CRNA.
